She started his actress career when she was very young and the journey of this actress career was very hard fer her.she faced many problems when initially she  was entering into the maya nagari/movie world and now she proved that everything is possible with hard working.In  1995 she started her career with a TV show (hum panch namak hai) and after due some reason she was rejected from 12 malayalam movie and 2 tamil movie,but without any harassment she got the opportunity in two bolliwood movies 1st one is pariniti and 2nd one is lage raho munna bhai in 2006 and this was the turning point for her future

Her acting in the bolliwood movie 'The dirty picture' was awesome for this fabulous act she got the national award at that time.and like this after this success she got another award which was the Film fair award for the Paa movie .In this movie her co artists was Abhisheq  bachan and Amitav bachan.some persons did't like her due  to her dressing styles and for her  fatness and with a huge hard work she got the chance to win the fan's heart.

She broke all old records and without anyone's help Vidya got a chance to test the success which was not ease for her.Like her last Movie Sakuntala Devi her upcoming movies Serni also in demand.because it is going to directed by famous movie Newton director Amit Masur kar.Her all acts on different movie was very different from other yeah like in mission mangal movie (2019) her performance was great.And  like this in another movie Tumhari Sulu (2017) her  act was very nice.

Now she is 41 years old and in her all movie she gave her  best for any type character.And for her nice and Awesome performance she also awarded with Padmashree.
